India's Active COVID-19 Cases Surpass 1,000; Kerala Leads Surge


India has reported a rise in active COVID-19 cases, with the total exceeding 1,000, according to the Union Health Ministry.  Kerala, Maharashtra, and Delhi are the top three contributors to the current caseload. 

As of Monday morning, the country has 1,009 active cases, with 752 new infections reported recently.  Kerala leads with 430 active cases, followed by Maharashtra with 209, and Delhi with 104.  Karnataka has reported 47 active cases.  Some regions, including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir, currently have no active cases.  

The nationwide recovery count stands at 4,45,11,545, while the death toll has reached 5,33,673. 

Health authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, emphasizing the importance of adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols and vaccination efforts to manage and contain the spread of the virus.
