Prime Minister Modi Accuses Opposition of Undermining Sanatana Dharma and Indian Culture

In a strongly-worded critique directed at the opposition INDIA alliance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concerns about their intentions regarding Sanatana Dharma and the potential repercussions for the nation's future. Speaking at an event in the election-bound state of Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister made his first public response to the controversy surrounding DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's remarks on Sanatana Dharma.

"They recently convened a meeting in Mumbai, and it appears they have devised the policies and strategies for what they call the 'ghamandiya' alliance. It seems they've also crafted a concealed agenda, one that aims to undermine the cultural fabric of India. Their strategy appears to involve attacking the faith of the Indian populace and erasing the thoughts, values, and traditions that have bound our country for millennia," Prime Minister Modi conveyed in Hindi.

Establishing a connection between India's revered heroes and the Sanatana culture, he highlighted, "The 'ghamandiya' alliance seems determined to extinguish the essence of Sanatana culture and the traditions that served as an inspiration for figures like Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. It was the strength of Sanatana culture that empowered Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmibai, to stand up to the British and declare her unwavering commitment to Jhansi."

Prime Minister Modi went on to remind the audience that Mahatma Gandhi considered Sanatana Dharma to be an integral part of his life, drawing inspiration from Lord Ram throughout his journey. He added, "His final words were 'hey Ram.'"

Furthermore, the Prime Minister underscored the influence of Sanatana culture on luminaries such as Swami Vivekanand and Lokmanya Tilak. He emphasized that it was this very cultural heritage that stirred the hearts of freedom fighters, even those who faced execution at the hands of the British, leading them to express the desire to be reborn "in the embrace of Bharat Ma."
