BJP leaders promise to use bulldozers in Telangana, emulate Uttar Pradesh model if voted to power

As Telangana gears up for Assembly elections in a few months, BJP leaders are making strong promises to the public. The word “bulldozer” is becoming increasingly common in their rhetoric, with the party claiming that they will emulate the Uttar Pradesh model if elected to power. Sanjay, a Member of Parliament, has been advocating the use of bulldozers in Telangana, citing the example of Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP government has used them to demolish the houses of offenders.

At a recent protest against increasing crimes against women in Hyderabad, Sanjay promised to bulldoze the houses of those who commit such crimes if the BJP comes to power in Telangana. He referred to the recent case of Preethi, a medical student who committed suicide after allegedly being harassed by her senior. Initially, BJP leaders had called it a case of “love jihad,” but after the police denied any communal angle or sexual harassment, Sanjay began to criticize the BRS government for allegedly siding with the accused.

However, BRS leaders have denied these allegations, pointing out that the police acted swiftly to arrest the accused. The government has vowed to punish the guilty, regardless of their affiliations. As the election draws near, the promises made by political parties will be under scrutiny. It remains to be seen whether the BJP’s pledge to follow the Uttar Pradesh model will resonate with voters in Telangana.
