In Muzaffarnagar's New Mandi area, three masked men on a motorcycle harassed female students returning from coaching classes. When the girls protested, they were threatened with death. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed outside. State Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal expressed his displeasure over the matter, prompting the police to take action. Subsequently, a case was registered against the three accused, and two of them were apprehended. The accused fled, leaving their motorcycle behind upon seeing a crowd. The father of one of the girls filed the complaint.
Following a similar incident in Lucknow, this incident in Muzaffarnagar came to light. The coaching center is located in Gandhi Colony, New Mandi. On Friday evening, two students were returning home from the coaching center when three young men on a bike, with their faces covered, approached them and started harassing them. When the students resisted, the men threatened to kill them. Seeing the commotion, nearby residents gathered, causing the accused to abandon their bike and flee. The New Mandi Kotwali police arrived at the scene after being informed. Local residents reported that one of the men was carrying a gun-like object, which he showed to the students.
